Stunning arrival through what is known as Kodak Gap! Small Gentoo colony in amazing setting. We walk up a glacier and took in the view. Then sat in awe watching the Weddell seal sleeping and penguins bathing.
Paradise Harbour
Our final destination! Terrific cruise that kindly presented all – leopard seals, whales, ice sculptures, glaciers and finally our last footing.

Almirante Brown
This is a tiny research station precariously perched on a narrow spit of land. We climbed up a steep hill (2,000 ft!) in deep snow then whoosh – tobogganed down on our bottoms!! So scary!

A wonderful, wonderful magnificent evening sky & scenery as we left (appropriately named) Paradise Bay. After dinner we drank hot chocolate on the bow as we sailed out through the Gerlache Strait and back up north. So sad to depart – no-one wanted to go to bed and miss the last of sights Antarctica!
Batten down again for 2 days rockin’ + rollin’ across the Drake Passage – Dr Tim is handing out sea-sickness pills again like Smarties!

Luckily the chocolate confection lifted our spirits and stood up to the Antarctic conditions!! (Pretty acceptable - but not a patch on Sue's!!)
